Looking for an expensive bath
What makes a bath expensive? Is it the materials used – probably? Is it the unique design – yes. Is it the brand name behind it –almost definitely.
Baths , like many other products can have a premium price depending on the perceived quality of the product. Duravit for example are the Apple of the bath world. They constantly innovate and like the gleaming white stores of the Apple Shops, Durvait’s own brand radiates a purity and creativity.
Uniqueness is also a feature of these power houses of the baths. You simply have to look at a Victoria & Albert bath to know that the design has been well thought through.
For example, a Victoria & Albert Toulouse bath, would cost you over £1,000. Not cheap. But if you are looking for something special then this could be for you.
A Cast Iron Bath is also not cheap. The reason being is the materials used and the quality of the product. They tend to come with 10 year guarantees. But my guess is that once you have bought a cast iron bath and gone to the trouble of installing it. You are unlikely to replace it. The Devon Slipper bath would cost you £1,731.
If you are looking for something a little different, then that will also help push the price up. Take for example the AirBath. These baths have lots of holes within them and will blast out air into the water and offer the user a stimulating bath that will “soothe body and soul”. These baths cost just less than £2,000.
