Appollo Assisted Baths

Bathing is a pleasant, relaxing and soothing experience that can be enjoyed by everyone. Unfortunately, for some there are times when this relaxing experience becomes difficult because of an inability to get in and out of a typical oblong bath with ease. If you find mobility problems are proving a barrier to relaxed bathing, then the Appollo assisted bathing range of baths, may have a solution to help you rediscover your independence.

Appollo is a major bath manufacturer based in Kingston upon Hull and has over 40 years’ experience in the bathroom industry. Appollo Assisted Baths combine quality and reliability with the very latest in technology to design baths suited to people who have difficulty using a standard bath.

The Appollo Assisted Baths range includes Elegance series I, II and III, Excalibur, Appollo, Aries, Walk-in Shower Bath, Step-in Bath (also with powered seat), Midi Walk-in, Mini Walk-in, Maxi Walk-in, The Libra and The Libra Hi-Lo Bath. Features include powered comfortable white seats, walk-in facilities for both showering and bathing, seat lifts and wheelchair accessibility – there’s a solution to meet every requirement.

The Elegance Series I, II and III is a range of spacious baths offering enhanced powered seat lift features to cope with different assisted bathing situations. All the seats lift up to 24 stones (150kg) weight.

The Elegance I

The Elegance I features a hydraulically powered seat lift, which lowers and raises the bather out of the water. The traverse action is manual through 90 degrees to take the seat in and out of the bath – once out of the bath the seat can be lowered hydraulically to the required height. This is particularly useful for people in wheelchairs as they may be able to transfer directly from the chair.

Left or right-hand seat options are available and there is a built-in safety mechanism preventing the seat from being lowered on to the side of the bath. The Elegance I dimensions are 1485mm or 1685mm length, Width 745mm, Height 515mm with an additional 500mm height required for the seat. Optional end panels and the Appollo Air Spa (see below) are also available.

even the smallest of bathrooms. The Hydraulic powered seat swings out 65 degrees over the bath side and may then be locked in position to allow the bather safe entry to and exit from the bath. The traverse power is manual with easy to use light pressure hand controls. Left or right-hand models are available.

The battery powered seat has a mains charger and is capable of safely lifting up to 24 stones (150kg). The Excalibur bath is supplied with side panels and measures 1685mm in length, width 745mm and height 465mm with an additional 200mm height required for the seat. Optional end panels and the Appollo Air Spa system (see below) are also available.

Appollo

The award-winning Appollo bath uses water pressure to lift the seat out of the bath and is suitable for varying degrees of mobility. The seat lowers flush with the base of the bath, giving the bather maximum freedom of movement. The seat is operated by a conveniently placed lever on the side of the bath and an extended lever is available for those with an arthritic condition. When the seat is in the top position, it can be rotated through 90 degrees (traverse power is manual) to aid the bather’s entry and exit from the bath. Left or right-hand seat options are available.

If low water pressure is a problem, an optional booster pump is available to ensure trouble-free bathing – WRAS Water Regulation Advisory Scheme Approved. Maximum life weight is 125kg or 20 stones.  The Appollo bath is available in three lengths 1500mm, 1650mm, and 1800mm with a width of 745mm and height of 530mm.  The Appollo Air Spa Option is also  available to further enhance the bathing experience.

Optional Appollo Air Spa

For an invigorating experience, you can also add the optional Appollo Air Spa when ordering your Appollo Assisted Bath. You can relax while the bubbles gently massage your body and sooth away those aches and pains of everyday life. The health-giving properties of hydrotherapy will help to strengthening back and leg muscles, and improve flexibility and mobility.
