Duravit Paiova Luxury in Baden Baden
The recent wet weather we have been having is enough to dampen anybodies spirits so here is an opportunity to get away from it all and relax in the lap of luxury and experience one of the best European Spas.
The Caracalla Baths are named after the Roman emperor who is once said to have taken the waters there. Today, it is home to one of the most luxurious WellnessLounges in Germany offering all the services of a modern wellness facility. The town of Baden-Baden is located on the western foothills of the Black Forest, on the banks of the Oos River, in the region of Karlsruhe and is synonomous with Spa and well-being treatments.
It was the Romans that first discovered the regions pure mineral springs and healing waters and over the last 100 years it has become an historic Spa resort. For more than 130 years, the Friedrichsbad (Friedrich’s spa) has been the destination for those in search of healing and relaxation at this historic site.
Based on the original Roman Baths concept, the Caracalla Baths are built with a central spa area underneath a beautiful domed structure, with several treatment areas off the main opening.
The new Wellness Lounge has recently been developed, taking on the latest ideas of award-winning designer Kruse Architectural Practice. With Turkish marble floors, beauitiful red tones and a ceiling that radiates with natural light, this really is an outstanding place to unwind and relax.
Each of the treatment rooms have been designed with the ultimate luxury in mind. Natural light, mirrors and discretely backlit cut outs in the wooden bathroom cupboard units produce a the very best in designer bathroom look. Each room has been kitted out with the latest Duravit bathroomware and furntiture. Philippe Starch designed washbasins and the free-standing “Starck barrels” are real eye-catchers.
The luxury bathtub is nothing less than a bathing temple for two: the room is quadrant-shaped and visitors enter through the tip. The attention is drawn to a pedestal made of Turkish marble on the central axis, in front of the curved wall, with two inset Duravit Paiova corner bathtubs. Positioned back to back, the two bathtubs create a trapezoidal form that echoes the radial orientation of the room.
Lie back and rest your head on the integrated neck rest and look up at the ceiling that reveals a large skylight. Close your eyes for a moment and slowly open them to take in the six “e-lights” – remote controlled indirect LED lighting that displays different colours on the ceiling as you relax.
The Paiova Bath is also fitted with five coloured LED lights and an integrated whirl pool system that offers the ultimate in massage control.
If you are lucky enough to visit the Caracalla Baths we are sure you will have a wonderful time. However, if you would like to recreate the “Caracalla experience” with Duravit Paiova corner bathtub please give us a call.
