Election 2010 – The great bathroom debate

So you’ve just moved into your new pad.  You may have paid too much, but you don’t mind, it was one of those must have properties that come round once in a life time, which strangely enough, wasn’t available for viewing before you moved in.  Whilst it’s not going to be your end house you still want to make your mark.  So you are in; you are excited you are looking to the future and have great plans to modernise.

As a bathroom specialist we encounter all taste.  Whether you like, the new black bathrooms; Modern styles and couture; perhaps you like all things quintessentially English.  Perhaps you need to keep up-to-date with the latest news with a bathroom television.  All tastes can usually be catered for.

So whilst all politicians try to control the perception of what the public think about them, however, behind closed doors they can be a little freer to express themselves.  We thought it might be interesting to put ourselves into the shoes of Messer’s Brown, Cameron and Clegg and our course their good lady wife’s and try and pick out which type of bathroom they might choose.  So in no particular order;

Mr and Mrs David Cameron

Both Mr and Mrs Cameron are modern young professionals with a family.  Time, or the lack of it, is an important factor when designing a bathroom.  To this end we recommend a Hansgrohe PuraVida Overhead Shower.  It’s not cheap, but if you want to quickly jump into an invigorating shower that wakes you up in the morning and is great fun for the kids, we think it hits the mark.

Along with the Cleggs’, David and Samantha have children to think about.  And the daily bath time ritual is important for children.  We think fun should be the order of the day and lighting is the key.  Bathroom lighting and bubbles will inject lots of fun.

Now we’ve not heard much from Mrs Clegg this campaign as she has preferred to stay out of the limelight.  However, the Spanish Mrs Miriam Gonzalez Durantez Clegg who is a partner in an International law firm is clearly a woman who knows her own mind. As a professional couple with two children practicality is important.  Now practicality doesn’t need to be boring.  Victoria and Albert offer wide range of baths to cater for all appetites.  All durable, all stylish they bring a quintessential British feel to any bathroom.

However, with the prospects of Britain being presented with a hung parliament, this makes the choice of bath for the LibDems more interesting – who do you share with?  The Airbath President Double ended Bath could be the answer.  Not only will it fit two bathers, it can be fitted with underwater or Chromatherapy Lighting making the experience all the more relaxing, and restful.

In the event of a Labour win and currently in situ, spring is perfect times to consider freshening up the place. Following the recent mishap with Gillian Duffy we believe that Mr Brown has a dark side.  Taking this literally the Duravit Black range might be appropriate.

A black bathroom is a bold statement and a modern one at that.

Also, we would suggest including some Devimat underfloor heating, as there is nothing worse than getting cold feet.

Now you decide

As with a hung parliament, there were several styles of bathroom that split our votes evenly.  So as this is a democracy we thought it should be the people who should decide which bathroom best suited which candidate.
