Antonio Citterio and Philippe Grohe, the director of German brassware manufacturer Hansgrohe, presented the new Axor Citterio M bathroom collection to their top showrooms in England.

Joe spent the afternoon with the designer previewing his new bathroom collection which will be in the Ocean Bathrooms showroom in the spring of 2008.

Antonio Citterio, an architect and designer, considers man-kinds’ dwelling to be his second skin. That is why he has designed almost everything from buildings, furnishing, and cutlery to bathroom fittings.

His philosophy is to open up the bathroom and let it become a new living space, a room of well being. Hence all his bathroom fitments were not individual products for him to design but part of the bathroom for the user to feel at ease with.

After spending some time chatting to the designer Joe commented “Antonio Citterio certainly inspired me with his sleek and modern designs. I think they can be easily integrated into any of my bathroom designs. He seems to see even the smallest item in the bathroom as a work of art and I liked that”.
