Save Money on Tiling

On average it’ll be 25% cheaper than installing tiles, and generally it’ll be even lower than that still. This is mainly because Mermaid panels do not require a specialist tiler. As an addition to this Mermaid panels last much longer than tiles further saving on the full life cost. 

No more mould

Are you fed up of grout - it takes a long time to apply, it’s a nightmare to clean and after a while it just goes mouldy. There’s no grout used with Mermaid panels, so that means no more mould. 

Extra time

Mermaid panels are so much quicker to fit than tiles that it’ll save you money and the effort of getting someone in for long periods of time. Of course it also means that you’ll be without your bathroom for a lot less time, which is great. We don’t have anything against tilers though, so if you do want to use one, you can, it just won’t take them as long to fit a Mermaid panel as a wall of tiles. 

An end to tough cleaning

A selection of Mermaid panels are now available wirh a patented Mermaid Antibacterial Coating. This is incorporated into the panel during the production process and means once bacteria comes into contact with the surface the bacteria basically die. Installation Types

Mermaid panels can be installed by a competent trades person. A specialist fitter isn't required. Large wall surfaces can be covered in a fraction of the time it would take to tile the same area. All of the Mermaid panels are manufactured in three sizes, except for the Mist collection which is only available in 1200mm-wide panels. They are supplied in the following easy-to-order kits, including all required profiles, colour sealants and accessories.

Shower Kits

Mermaid can be used for two- or three-sided shower enclosures and are available in two different sizes to suit most shower trays.

Hi-ShowerWall – 2400mmx 900mm
For shower installations where the wall is less than or equal to 900mm

Wide ShowerWall – 2400mm x 1200mm
For shower installations where the wall is less than or equal to 1200mm

End Kit

The Mermaid End Kit might be required in addition to a Shower or Wall Kit. This depends on the type of installation. For example, it can be used in conjunction with a Wall Kit for walk-in shower enclosures or to continue panelling from alongside to the end of your bath.

Wall Kit

Mermaid 600mm-wide bathroom panels can be used for full room installations. Ideally, this should be planned to ensure that the joins between the panels are symmetrical, particularly around windows and doors.

Bathroom panels – 2400mm x 600mm (nominal)*
For full room installations or walls greater than 1200mm in length
