Evening Standard, August 2019
An old bathroom was remodelled into a modern semi-wet room in a project commissioned by Amos Goldreich, extending an Islington maisonette into the loft space
‘In the completed remodelled bathroom, Amos created a semi-wet room. And by concealing pipework below the new staircase he installed a properly plumbed loo. Special extra-thin ceramic fibreglass-backed tiles on floor and walls come super-sized, which looks elegant and reduces grouting, but they need careful installation. Roomy mirrored cupboards finish it off.’
Utopia Kitchen and Bathroom, June 2018
We helped a working couple create a relaxing retreat to shrug off the stresses of their high-pressured jobs. Joseph and Anna commissioned Ocean Bathrooms to design and install their new bathroom and steam room.
“The final design is fantastic – Joe has managed to fit in everything we wanted without compromising. The installers did an amazing job and it looks the same as on his 3D designs.”

Essential Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom, June 2018
EKBB Magazine featured this bold industrial-style ensuite project in Highgate in their June 2018 issue. In a Q&A with Joe Mühl, our MD of Contracts and Commercial Projects, he explains that by careful and imaginative design, he was able to include the elements on the customer’s wish list. These included a walk-in shower and a generously-sized basin unit and wall cabinet. Also included was a double-ended steel bath in the same position as the original unit.

MD of Contracts and Commercial Projects Joe Mühl offers his professional advice in this ‘Planning a Compact Bathroom’ feature.
“When planning a compact bathroom, every centimetre counts. Enlist the services of a bathroom designer and use spatial planning to explore all the options. Abandon any preconceptions, and be prepared to experiment with different products and layouts to maximise the use of available space.”
Essential Kitchen & Bathroom Business, March 2018
In March 2018, Essential Kitchens & Bathrooms Business interviewed us about our new London Showroom opening. This was a joint profile piece with Majestic Showers, a brand we work closely with to ensure the absolute best quality product for our customers.
“Often, an architect will want to push the design to include unusual elements and a lot of suppliers can’t cope with that, but Majestic, for example, can produce almost any size, colour of glass, finish of hinges. Our success in this market depends on being able to deliver what the architects need.”

Essential Kitchen & Bathroom Business, February 2014
EKB Business Magazine featured Ocean Bathrooms as a retailer case study in February 2014. The feature was focused around our design and project sales manager Joe’s own shower room, and the experience of designing it himself.
“For my own shower room, I was determined not to go for beige tiles and white gloss units – it had to be a little bit different.”

Real Homes, November 2011
Real Homes featured the remarkable transformation of a dated and poorly designed bathroom into a bright and contemporary space, for their family home in Charmouth, Dorset
“We visited the showrooms at local bathroom specialist Ocean Bathrooms, where we talked through our ideas with its head designer, Joe Muhl. He took the room dimensions and devised a layout using computer-aided graphics.”
